I can't believe that I am creating pregnancy related content and advice online! I mean, I knew eventually this would be my life but I didn't see it coming and all of the sudden, we are here!
While I still want to talk about travel, business, lifestyle content and more! I do want to dive into my perspective on parenting and embracing this new component of my life!

Finding yourself pregnant for the first time is a very interesting thing. What do I do? What can I eat? Who do I call? Then you have to start your appointments, taking care of yourself while feeling sick, diving into parenting content. It's overwhelming and challenging. My hopes is this article helps you understand what to do because I was ... well pretty lost.
Take a step forward, it's still a step...
Start here!
Sooooo you're pregnant! Congrats! If you're happy about it and are ready to proceed forward, then start here!
Talk to your doctor first.
I know this seems obvious but it's not for everyone. I waited about 2.5 weeks before I called the doctor. I know it needed to be done but didn't have a doctor myself and was worried about what to do when you don't have a family doctor. I searched frantically until I could find one but atlas! someone took pity and took me in! Bonus! What to expect at this appointment (because I had no idea)
Blood Pressure check !
Weight Check (ick)
Lung check
Listen to your heart
Ultrasound referral
Blood work or requisition
Questions
When to announce?
You'll find a large mix of information on this! It's a really personal part of pregnancy and there is no right answer! Some use to say 12 weeks + due to the risk of miscarriage decreasing by this time! While the risk is always there, 12 weeks is a good time. But I personally don't think anything is wrong with announcing from 8-12 weeks! If you're excited, SHARE IT! Miscarriages happen anytime and some people prefer for others to know to have the support if needed ! It's up to you and don't let the mommy group people shame you for choosing when you wish!
How will you feel?
While this is different for everyone, you may enjoy some of these lovely bonuses during your first trimester so look out for these fun little signs!
Fatigue! Sometimes extreme. Think naps in the day or bedtime at 7:30
Bloating! I bloated so much that I felt pregnant but like 20 weeks pregnant!
Nausea. We all know this one, it isn't fun!
Moody! It can start early, I've been pretty mellow but find myself feeling overwhelmed more easy and crying more!
Headaches
Peeing more frequently
But doing number #2 less...
THIRSTY! I've been so thirsty, there is no quenching it and I am always wanting something around!
There's an abundance of more things that could affect you, unfortunately how we handle pregnancy is very individualise but keep your eye out for any changes and drink lots of water to combat anything that water can help with!
What to buy now to help!
While you may be wanting to start buying baby clothes, here's the things you actually may want in the first trimester. Pregnancy Pillow! While you don't need this yet, it will come in use before you know it! Save yourself the trouble of having to find one later and get this off your list early ! https://amzn.to/3BZbmfp
Nausea lollipops! These are self explanatory! They help you handle the nausea and are a life saver! Plus it's candy! sooo...
It would take a thousand articles to explain everything about pregnancy but I hope this gives a little indicator and idea! Soak in the good times because they are still there even on the hard days! Pregnancy only lasts so long and is worth it for the joy you'll have after.
